April 29, 2013 Continued....
Sunday was an early day as we spent the morning on the Chobe River in a 15 passenger boat.  We only had 6 people so it was comfortable despite chilly (60 F) temperatures.  We cruised for about three hours and saw lots of elephants, hippos, birds, and water lilies.  This river is very wide and forms the boundary between Botswana and Namibia.  A prize is offered to the person with the quickest response to the question "what is the Captivi Strip"?

.  During the afternoon safari drive, we were joined by two additional couples (from Austria and Switzerland).  We initially sought the big cats for Stacy.  However, we only saw two lions.  So we spent the rest of the time with various antelopes (including one that I didn't know...the puku), lots of giraffes, elephants, and baboons. We stopped off again for another glorious sunset.
